It woudl be fooilch to do this but you can do it, every singel spin of the wheel you woudl neither win nor lose money, except when the bal lands on zero and you lose both bets. You woudl be putting your money at risk for no reason.
That is not to say that it cannot be done, it is common to do this in online casinos for the purpose of metting minimum betting requirements, but many online casinos frown upon it
To do it you would just put an equal amount of chips on black and red before each spin.
Its not a "system" of any kind and there is no system that will give positive returns in the game of roullette

No, but it should be! Why? Because it is the WORST system that you could ever use! The Martingale is when you place a bet and double it every time you lose until you win…that is the theory. Reality is that there are table limits at every casino that will not allow you to double your wager more than 5-7 times, and you can easily lose 10 times in a row. So let's say you are at a table that the limits are $25-$1,000 and you begin your 'system' with $25 you lose then $50, $100, $200, $400, $800 and you lose. Now you are in a spot, you cannot double your wager because table limits are $1000 so now what?! Now you're down $1775.00 and you're out of chances. Do you even want to risk thousands to try to win $25?
Casinos absolutely love it when you play the Martingale, you'll probably get a 'free' room, but it will cost you thousands.

You can't mathematically beat roulette long-term, especially if there's a not-very-wide spread of bet limits. If you use Martingale, or the others, you hit the wall pretty fast at most Nevada casinos.
This is why I take my serious money to horse racing or video poker. If you are disciplined, you can beat video poker long-term. A lot of work, but it is mathematically do-able on some varieties, such as "10/7 double bonus" or "deuces wild"…

A good roulette system is only one aspect of increasing your chances of winning. Strategy and discipline are needed. Playing straight-up bets rather than outside bets and no progression betting. A realistic mind set that see's that in making a profit of doubling your deposit and continuing only with a set level to drop to. So if you deposited $100 when you reach $200 you set a quit playing amount of $150. If you drop to this amount you must stop and withdraw the funds.
Sounds boring and slow doesn't t. But if you keep a pocket diary and note down every game time and day of week and pofit/loss amounts. Then work out out what you have achieved over the week or month. Then you will see the bigger picture. Ask yourself this what is the urgency in trying to make a lot of money instantly? It wont pay off that way unless your increadibly lucky.

The only working system is not to play. Otherwise you are losing money to the house at 5.26%.
But if I do play, I like to cover the number 17 in various ways. If I get short term lucky, I get paid out nicely. Then I walk away.
You are never going to beat the game long term, so you may as well cover some unlikely bets and hope to hit.

Sorry to bust the bubble.. there are no systems that work.. The old joke is that if you have a new system to break the casino, then they will gladly send a limosine for you.. They know the odds and those odds will never be in your favor.. The only way to beat a casino is to count cards at black jack and they made that illegal.. the best odds that you can get in a casino are on the craps table – but you better know the game well.. Truly, all my best.. which you will find in another venue – for sure..

Good post from Roger K, but I decided to chime in just in case you need to hear it from more than one person.
There is NO SYSTEM that can beat roulette!!! There are plenty of 'systems' out there that will claim they can beat roulette, but they can't. Some will offer "money back guaranteed". They are counting on some folks winning money with their system AT FIRST. The folks that lose money with their system right away will put in requests to get their money back, but folks that win for the first few tries will let the company have their money. Within a month, they'll also let the casino have their money, too! (Once the "system" runs into a bad streak.)
